Two Universal Extra Dimensions
We review the main results of the study of the Standard model propagating in two universal extra dimensions. Gauge bosons give rise to heavy spin-1 and spin-0 particles. The latter constitute the lightest Kaluza-Klein (KK) particle in the level (1,0). The level (1,1) can be s-channel produced. The main signals at the Tevatron and the LHC will be several tt̄ resonances.
متن کاملMinimal Nonminimal Supersymmetric Standard Model
We review the basic field-theoretic and phenomenological features of the recently introduced Minimal Nonminimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MNSSM). The introduced model is the simplest and most economic version among the proposed nonminimal supersymmetric models, in which the so-called μ-problem can be successfully addressed. As opposed to the MSSM and the frequently-discussed NMSSM, the MNS...
متن کاملMinimal Universal Extra Dimensions
Highly degenerate spectra associated with universal extra dimensions (UED) provide an interesting phenomenology not only from the point of view of cosmology and astrophysics, but also for colliders. We study these exotic signals for the simplest case, called minimal UED, where it is natural to find slow charged particles, displaced vertices, tracks with non-vanishing impact parameters, track ki...
متن کاملThe Excited Scalars of the Universal Extra Dimension Model
In the minimal Universal Extra Dimension (mUED) model, there are four physical scalar particles at the n = 1 level, two charged and two neutral. Due to the almost degenerate nature of the spectrum, the detection of these scalars is a major challenge, perhaps the greatest experimental challenge if UED-type new physics is observed at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We explore the possibility of ...
متن کاملBounds on Universal Extra Dimensions
We show that the bound from the electroweak data on the size of extra dimensions accessible to all the standard model fields is rather loose. These “universal” extra dimensions could have a compactification scale as low as 300 GeV for one extra dimension. This is because the Kaluza-Klein number is conserved and thus the contributions to the electroweak observables arise only from loops. The mai...
